Through our Poultry Support Program, Mezan Charity Foundation distributed hens to widowed women as a sustainable livelihood initiative aimed at strengthening their financial independence. This project enables widows to generate a regular income through egg production while also improving household nutrition.
By providing hens along with basic guidance on poultry care, we help vulnerable women develop small home-based businesses that require minimal resources. The income earned from selling eggs supports daily household expenses, children’s education, and essential needs. This initiative not only reduces economic dependency but also restores dignity and confidence among widowed beneficiaries. Our goal is to move beyond short-term assistance and create long-term empowerment opportunities for vulnerable women within their communities.
