From Learning to Earning: Tailoring Workshop for Women in Kabul

With a shared vision of empowerment and self-reliance, Mezan Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Imdad Foundation, successfully launched a tailoring training program for 32 women in Kabul. Running from Aqrab to the end of Hoot 1403 (October 2024 to March 2025), the initiative aimed to uplift economically disadvantaged and female-headed households through skills development.

Participants, aged between 18 and 45, came from vulnerable backgrounds—many were either sole providers or from low-income families. Throughout the training, they were guided by experienced instructors who equipped them with both basic and advanced tailoring techniques, opening a pathway to financial independence and long-term livelihood opportunities.

To further support their journey beyond the classroom, each participant was provided with a sewing machine, essential tailoring supplies, and cash assistance. This thoughtful package ensures that graduates can immediately begin applying their skills to earn a living and support their families with dignity.

Mezan Charity Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to all the generous donors who made this program possible. We also deeply appreciate the dedication of the trainers and implementation team, whose commitment brought this mission to life. Together, we continue to stitch hope into the fabric of our communities.
