Medical Training and Healthcare Support Mission in Afghanistan

By the Tawfiq of Allah (SWT), Mezan Charity Foundation, in coordination with Doctors of Rahman (Midland Aid International Trust) from the United Kingdom, facilitated the visit of a medical team consisting of specialists from various countries to Afghanistan.

After the team was introduced by Mezan Charity Foundation to the Ministry of Public Health, a meeting was held with the Honorable Deputy Minister of Public Health, during which the key needs and priorities of the healthcare sector were discussed.

Subsequently, during their visit starting on 26 January 2026, the medical team visited six (6) hospitals and conducted training programs for doctors across multiple medical specialties.

The team included three cardiologists, ophthalmology specialists, anesthesiology specialists, an Emergency Department (ED) consultant, four orthopedic surgeons, one general surgeon, one surgical oncologist, one medical oncologist, one pediatrician, and anesthetics specialists.

A total of 54 doctors were formally trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS), with teaching also delivered to a further 100+ doctors across multiple specialties.

In addition, medical equipment valued at tens of thousands of US dollars was donated to the Ministry of Public Health, Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital, Ibn Sina Hospital, and Noor Hospital.
