Madrasa Farouqiya – Sar Hawza District, Paktika Province
Madrasa Farouqiya is a well-established Islamic educational center serving students from the Sar Hawza district and surrounding communities.
Established in 1373 Hijri Shamsi as a waqf-based Islamic institution, Madrasa Farouqiya has served the community for over 30 years.
Currently, the madrasa supports approximately 150 students:
- Qaidah Classes (3 levels)
- Nazira (Qur’an reading) – 80 students
- Hifz (Memorization) – 30 students
- Islamic Studies Section – 15 students
- 20 boarding students (residential)
Following a detailed technical evaluation by Mezan Charity Foundation, several structural and space limitations were identified, affecting both educational quality and student living conditions.
Proposed Project:
Construction of the first floor of a new Madrasa and Lailia building, based on the approved Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
Total Estimated Cost: USD 92,200.36
Project Objectives:
- Expand classroom capacity
- Improve dormitory facilities
- Enhance ventilation and lighting
- Provide administrative space
- Strengthen infrastructure durability
- Improve safety and sanitation
Madrasa Farouqiya currently serves 1,500–2,000 families who rely on it for Islamic education. This expansion will allow the madrasa to accommodate more students in a structured, safe, and sustainable environment.
